All you good folk of ……… Come close and listen well I have a tale of blood and gore and bravery to tell

Of shiny knights with pointy swords Of damsels fair and sweet Of Kings of old with lots of gold And very smelly feet

Of Dragons hot and very cross

Eating maidens by the score Come close, come close Lend me your ears And let me tell you more……………….

This re-telling of the St George Legend was originally devised as a piece of street theatre for primary school children in Chester, UK.   The illustrated version retains the Mediaeval ‘Street Theatre’ style with  George  telling the story aided by his long suffering companion, the Jester. It’s a two-hander, on a tight budget, so the Jester has to improvise.

”Wonderfully comic stuff, Russell’s illustrations have a quirky humour that will appeal to children and adults alike” Fionay Smithson, Primary School teacher

”Really great, I really like the jester he’s so funny” April 9yrs
